I am *so* excited for this book!!! Finally, shipping 12/1. Laura isn’t on social media so I have assumed the PR role — buy this book! I’ve been reading these stories for years and it’s the most compelling political science stuff I’ve ever read. Also Laura painted the cover art!

This is an absurd system, these hours are ridiculous. I just want public transit 😭😩😡 I don’t even understand how people afford private transportation, like surprise there’s a screw in your tire and now you need to spend ~$800 on a complete set!

Fun Fact: the Colbert announcement came on the 13th anniversary of the *exact* date of him personally cussing me out. Karma?

The “How We Met” page of my parents’ wedding album.

(“She is running because ‘New Hampshire Legislature is full of old men who surely can’t represent the ideas of the present population.’” Queen Icon Legend)

(My dad was 20, talking about land speculator taxes, what a nerd)

Reading through my Dad’s copy of Old Richard’s Almanack and digging it.

“A rich rogue, is like a fat hog, who never does good // til as dead as a log.”

“…not worth a farto.” Great stuff here.

My 8-year-old nephew wrote this on one of those obit websites without my sister even knowing and it’s the sweetest thing on earth.

My Dad died yesterday. At home, with his 3 kids and his wife of 52 years. Exactly where he wanted to be.

I wanted to share a bit of something @mikecaulfield.bsky.social wrote to him a few days ago. I'm impossible to understand without my Dad, but especially in his approach to politics (and life).

My Dad’s Dad died when my Dad was 6. He’s a mystery to me in most ways except for the fact that I look just like him.

I really need to make it back to see my dad for as long as I possibly can.
