A Democratic messaging firm ("Navigator Research") tied to the establishment has sent out a memo on govt shutdown fight around DC this am.

They want the Democrats/progressives to focus on "bipartisanship" and focus no pissing of Republicans by talking about "stopping Trump." 🙃
"Understand The Moment: There is never a slow news week with Trump in the White House. Even when he had no public appearances for a week, Trump dominated the news. There will never be a time where the media is not saturated or when it’s easy to break through. That doesn’t mean you should stop communicating. It means we need to bring our message everywhere: to podcasts, with content creators, on radio and cable news, and across social media platforms. Sixty-five percent of Americans have heard “a little” or “nothing” about a potential government shutdown, including 73 percent of independents. Topline Talking Points: Republicans are threatening to shut down the government unless they are able to take away health care from millions of working people and families, raising their costs. Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. If the government shuts down, it's because they chose to shut it down rather than pass a budget that serves the American people. Democrats support and will vote for a bipartisan budget that doesn’t eliminate tax credits for health care or give new tax breaks to the wealthy elite. So far, Republicans refuse to work together on these priorities.
