still think it's extremely fucked up how Tokimeki Memorial couldn't get an English release because dating sim sounded too icky or pathetic for the Western audience but now the entire tech industry is all in on selling people AI chatbot companions just 3 decades later

I want people to think more critically over AI and understand WHICH AI is the kind ruining our environment (it's genAI). AI in general has been around for decades and fear mongering over anything labeled "AI" is doing more harm than good. The AI that detects cancer isn't genAI.

All this AI usage in creative fields makes me think that even if I take twice the amount of time to do something compared to if I used AI tools, it will still be infinitely more satisfying to me personally. Producing less, slower, and being more intentional with ideas and projects
