GBM Rad Oncs: if 5 fx is proven non-inferior with respect to OS, does it win the day?

As a non-GBM doc, I’m puzzled why in 2025 this hasn’t been already investigated more broadly given the prognosis and prior work from Stanford.

The SPRINT and MOMENTUM studies exemplify Common Sense (Radiation) Oncology. As a field, we must reject traditional Pharma-centric RCT models and adopt methodologies better suited to RadOnc. That means: platform registries, TwiCs, and Bayesian designs.
🎉We’re excited to announce that the first patient has been randomised in the SPRINT study!

The patient was enrolled at Inselspital in Bern under the supervision of PI Professor Hossein Hemmatazad.

More fodder for the bladder filling debate.
Some prostate patients experience urinary urgency during their radiation treatment.

That pressure can cause the prostate to move inferiorly, highlighted here in the video below courtesy of Dr Cem Onal, University of Başkent

For muscle-invasive bladder cancer, the Lancet Oncology paper by Zlotta et al is the best comparative effectiveness study of TMT versus RC. How can we use this study to communicate the risks of delayed cystectomy to patients? Peppin A et al provide an answer at GU ASCO 2025:

MIRAGE trial out on European Urology
Results suggest that MRI-guided SBRT offers long-term benefits in reducing toxic effects by allowing for more aggressive margin reduction in treatment planning.
