There's this idea a lot of people have that harmful or unethical behaviour is fine, it's talking about it that's the real problem.
That bad behaviour, even when it's conducted in public, is a private issue. And it's only ever used to protect the powerful from the consequences of their own actions.

The level of intelligence of a program is inversely proportional to the amount of information the user has to provide in the input to get the user's desired output.

LLM based AI chat bots and agents are still very dumb by this standard.

When Amazon bought the naming rights of Key Arena, they opted for "Climate Pledge Arena", for basically this exact reason. "Amazon Arena" would not have gone over very well with local sports fans & concert goers.
lmao at the idea of a "tesla field" in portland, dawg, that shit would get burned to the ground five times *during construction*
one of the many issues with AI evangelists is an embarrassing lack of ball knowers

I should care more about Uline's politics, but what really grinds my gears are the heavy catalogues, reminiscent of old phone books, that they mail to businesses unsolicited. Heavy junk mail is even worse than regular junk mail.
Much of the cardboard and paper goods strewn about our homes are sold by a single private company, with its name, Uline, stamped on the bottom.

Few Americans know that a multibillion-dollar fortune made on those ubiquitous products fuels far-right candidates across the country.

That Cardboard Box in Your Home Is Fueling Election Denial
A previously unreported boom in profits for the shipping supply giant Uline has provided the funds for a deeply conservative Midwestern family to bankroll anti-democracy causes around the country.
