I think non-disabled folk often believe that we are lying when we talk about how bad our symptoms really are.
Because they can’t fathom how we can carry on living and doing anything with symptoms they cannot even imagine.

Unless you’ve lived it, it is impossible to understand.

get back into it. whatever it is. the gym, your art, your studies, that book you haven't finished, that project you shelved. whatever you weren't ready for then you're ready for now

Disabled people deserve accessibility, equality, equity, inclusion, and basic human rights. Those who dehumanize us are part of the reason we are where we are.

This
We're gonna have big feelings sometimes, & we're gonna express them imperfectly sometimes. It happens. We don't need to kick the sh*t out of ourselves.

We catch it; we make amends if we need to; we work our skills; we do the next right thing.

This is recovery.

I feel this today.
You don’t have to be strong, just too stubborn to quit.

Some days, it’s not about thriving - it’s about not giving up.

You don’t need to be powerful - just persistent.

Blessed are the shitposters.

In times of chaos, they are mental health essential workers.
