the point is not that writing every day is bad, but that there's no such thing as *needing* to do anything, besides figuring out what works for you personally because we are all different writers

People ask me for advice on how to write sex scenes, and all I can say is that every time you start one, you have to say, "TAKE THAT, JOHN UPDIKE," because no matter your level of talent, you have a really good chance at writing a better sex scene than he could.
