Just saw them for my second time two weeks ago. This is the album that really shows the power they bring live.

Yeah, but I bet it sounded amazing. I love that point an hour in to doing something completely insane like that, climbing out of the rabbit hole, and realizing I’ve created something utterly unique that I could never recreate in a million years.

Dude studied under THE James Jamerson. He also recorded with Elton John, Marvin Gaye, Annie Lennox and Tina Turner. Legend.

Being from California complicates that equation a bit.
But for me it’s more like Styx had great full albums. Even Toto’s best albums only had a couple great songs. The polished LA pop crap that Toto filled their albums with does not hold up well. Styx does. So I’ll vote with Chicago.
