Agree that HNL is very car-centric. However, never experienced traffic in Honolulu to be as bad and absolutely batsh.t crazy as in Paris and London, though.

Received the update earlier today. As expected, animations have become even more obnoxious, battery runtime (on a Pixel 8) is noticably worse (almost cut in half) and the UI looks like something drawn-up by third-graders.

France was actively using GrapheneOS on a national level via ANSSI. They benefited from our open source code available to them for free as it is to everyone else in the world. This makes it all the more ridiculous that French state agencies are now heavily attacking GrapheneOS.

It's more about the symbolic gesture of supporting the very ecosystem that GrapheneOS is part of, even though I understand that most alternatives sadly won't fit your technical requirements 100%.

WRT privacy-friendly, I was referring to a hoster that doesn't impose KYC, that operates under a jurisdiction that's outside of the fourteen eyes and ideally doesn't have MLATs with any of the countries.
