Use #Rust open-source projects, they said. It's fun, they said.

What if someone told you that soon you could have your good ol' #phpBB type bulletin board (forum) as a single binary, supporting PostgreSQL clusters and w/o any runtime dependencies (no files, no /var/www, no cgi/fpm), 100% JavaScript free, based on modern HTML5/CSS, and it would look like this?

Remember, kids, these are some of the perks you get when running @grapheneos.org!

Not an iPod, not an mp3 player, not a smartphone, nothing will ever feel as futuristic as the Sony MZ-RH1.

> The global mayonnaise market* is projected to reach nearly USD 13 billion in 2025.

I didn't realize there even is a "global maoyonnaise market" and I certainly didn't know it's a multi-billion dollar field.

Trying out whether #Deepseek R1:1.5b could be used locally to decide whether a post on Bluesky is political, so that it could be filtered. Picked the content of a random skeet from the timeline. It's not going great.

Hey @cameron.pfiffer.org, any ideas how to optimise the prompt?

Unfortunately these feeds aren't working at all. I am not following any of these people nor do I interact with such content.

Because no matter how far away from politics a topic or hobby might be, someone will always find a way to radically politicize in the most absurd way possible.

Even though I'm not following anyone specifically covering these topics it appears that the only way to enjoy a platform like Bluesky for purely hobbies and non-political interests is by using its mute list to block American social imperialism from taking over your feed.

While a partially restrictive #GNU #GPL v3 might not be easily possible, I discovered the #Hippocratic #license through this request:

This new @slimbook.com is great hardware, but the VAT is killing it.

Sir, "a bit different" might be an understatement. Over the years jq has gone from being a relatively simple tool to basically a full blown script interpreter. At this point one could use Python or Ruby and would probably end up with something that is easier to read/better understood by more people.

Oh wow, quite a surprise to see @jimmyfallon.bsky.social hosting the #MadeByGoogle event. Loved the show!

FYI you can at least get rid of the graphics and save a few bytes while on mobile connections using the following Adblock Plus custom filter.

Society created an internet where you cannot browse a website anymore without a drawing of a child with cat ears telling you to enable JavaScript. Even on sites like lore.kernel.org that do not need JavaScript.

This is ridiculous and sad.

Always remember to add this at the very end to your ~/.ssh/config, kids.
