Steve X-Men Comics
@xmencomicssteve.bsky.social
Boxes and boxes of X-Men and X-adjacent comics. Collecting since 1986, chasing all the X-books - getting close to the finish line. Favs are both Wolverines, Storm, Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde. Also weird 80’s indie comics. Also cooking/recipe shares.
This was mine, at a B Dalton Bookstore in the mall. Prob spent my arcade $. Pretty cool place to start.

This is an amazing idea, sounds great. Somehow instantly led me to Old Bay latkes with a tartar (sauce) sour cream.

I’ve honestly never thought of changing my latke flavors, all these years. Thx to you I may experiment a bit this year (DON’T tell my Mom!)

I got this one online a few years ago, never seen it in the wild. Fun collection of stories, variety of characters.

It has a Logan Wolverine story, was on my list of all his 20th century appearances I’m still trying to finish.

This is so cool. The picks this week are really good so far!

Awesome pick this week, the cover always reminds me of the 1989 movie The Abyss, cause of the creatures in it.

My #TopShelfFriday is the square-bound U.K. Marvel Super Heroes Annual 1992. Reprints some stories, also has profiles and text-only stories. These are tough to find Stateside.

My mom still sends me that box of delicious pears every holidays, so made a mental note.

Non-jokey response: the last few Mondays it’s a bit sad not seeing a new WTF episode…

Yes, he stopped at podcast #1686!

Last episode was Barack Obama - highly highly recommend, especially in the current environment. Second to last episode was him explaining why he stopped.

I say this with affection. My father, 94 years old and a retired long time grizzled editor, bled red ink on every school paper I ever showed him.

* Marc Maron’s ffs, damn spellcheck. I don’t feel like retyping the alt text. Apologies to Marc Maron and any recovering editors out there.

If you want more, Mariska was one of the last guests on Marc Mason’s podcast in June. Loved the doc, the podcast was worth listening to as well imho. Interesting to hear the bts and her reactions.

What a great combination, nicely done looks tasty!

Makes perfect sense to me. The characters were just going through the motions, reader doesn’t have to. It’s also why I love getting library books: very easy to make that decision (which I also do from time to time).

I’m good but it was really fun seeing them and always appreciate you tagging me!

Pong was our first video game system, and exactly the format pictured!

There was the main control, and a small “satellite” control for the second player. My older brother of course always had main one, and would mess with the Speed switch (fast/slow ball) on my side. That stunk.
