ICU nurse ♡ Cat mom ♡ Candle lover ♡ Dutchie in the UK ♡ Fighting chronic pain daily thanks to Endometriosis, nerve damage due to endo scar tissue, hypertonic pelvic floor, adenomyosis & fibromyalgia
I don't want to seem or feel like I've given up on getting better/getting answers. I don't want to find a new "normal" yet because maybe, just maybe I don't have those stuff. Maybe my chronic pain will get better, my dizziness will stop & my body stop hurting.. Just maybe... #ChronicIllness

I don't have the #POTS diagnosis yet, but my GP is convinced. Got my 48hr tape later this month but my cardiology consultation is still not earlier than June. Also on advice of occupational health, I got an appointment later this month with the GP to get tested for #hypermobility

I am so curious how others with #endometriosis and #pots who are nurses, do their job or if they have any advice/reasonable adjustments they can recommend. My dream career is disappearing in front of my eyes due to my health and the long waiting lists.. I am heartbroken

I feel so unsupported because of this.

But feeling massively pressured to get back to my full position and hours by Matron +DDCQN want me to be, and it feels I have to regardless how I feel while in half the amount of time occupational health recommended

This is partly due to my feelings regarding work... or rather me trying my hardest to improve my health to get back to work without destroying my physical + mental health

Interesting! I wonder what the gp will say then. The occu health doc wanted me to see rheumatology, but the gp needs to refer me first ofc. The appt isn't till 3rd of March. Thank you for all your info! Hope today is kind on you 💗

I do score a 2 on the questionnaire as well, but yeah, it's something he mentioned that i should get checked with my endo, possible pots, hypertonic pelvic floor, fibro, gi + bladder problems etc. So idk.. 🤷‍♀️ my mind is just everywhere

Yeah I have heard of the Beighton before, I have the knee thing, but don't know the exact degree, got the spine thing then. But I thought you could also be hypermobile beyond the joints in this chart as it is a guide? At least that's how I understood it from the occu health doctor.

My occupational health doctor also wants me to check with my GP for hypermobility because apparently this is not normal...? That, and he thinks my fibromyalgia is misdiagnosed, plus hypertonic pelvic floor is a sign as well I've been told by the occu health doc.
