I have a similar resume, and had a mother who believed in severe neglect with a side of spanking. My mother might also be out there claiming her parenting works since I turned out “fine,” but I wouldn’t know since I haven’t spoken to her since 2007. Achievement can be a coping mechanism.

What’s interesting/horrifying to me about this one is that Camp Mystic is for the blueblooded daughters of Texas high society. It’s old money as hell. And they STILL don’t care.

If you line it up right, everything is covered and I didn’t ruin any clothes as I healed. But lining it up right might be challenging with your injury

hello yes I am crazy and I was running 5 miles in my surgical bra two weeks out from a lumpectomy. The good: front closing, Velcro, VERY constricting, nothing moved. The bad: hard to breathe, but I was really needing to not bounce. Loved the longline from Masthead.

I grew up in central Texas, where the topsoil is clay and it feels like there’s maybe two feet of it before you hit limestone bedrock. I never met anybody who could afford a basement
