I have pierced nipples too and had them for years before transitioning. It's not common but the sensation of catching one on a shower door or something because my breast grew is pretty painful.
Also I've had to lengthen the bars twice already in a year due to growth and them getting tight.

I once saw poll data that was more nuanced and the lesbian bit was split on trans men and trans women.
Overall the majority were supportive but younger lesbians were more supportive of trans women and older more of trans men.
(Because trans men used to be considered a type of lesbian)

It's probably because they combined cis bisexual men and women, I believe in separate polls bisexual women give the highest support.

I think it was clever for the Simpson Writers to use real Iranian names but not real Ayatollahs. It means the episode doesn't date and throws ambiguity as to whether Homer is making stuff up or is an unexpected expert on niche Iranian religious politics in their divergent alternative universe.
