I need to really put some thought into my critiques/missed opportunities of Phoenix, but it's truly wild just how bland that book is turning out...

Bizarrely, the first two issues of Laura and Psylocke were basically the same plot (wtf), and LK:W was the superior of the two imo, but Psylocke #3 was v strong and pulled way ahead

Also LOVED Storm this week! There's still a lot/maybe too much going on, but I'm so excited for where it's headed

I already am really into the relationship between the 3 newbies, but I hope we get more group interaction moving forward and not more solo issues of the kids (even tho i did love this issue lol)

The rest of the teen / school stuff was good character work, even if slightly less interesting, but I assume we all think/know Sinister is going to be behind this. While I'm lowkey a Sinister stan (when he's queen-y lol)... this feels too soon to bring him back and makes me nervous 😵‍💫 #Xspoilers

I really hope the conversation Kitty & Emma have here is continued and becomes the thesis of the series—an introspective look at what it *means* to be X-Men right now.

While I love how Carmen is drawing Kitty... Emma less so lol. And am very confused why she randomly looks purple in some panels 🙃

I saw some takes that the flashback went on too long & distracted from the story, hard disagree. I loved seeing it—especially in Carnero's continued INCREDIBLE art of Kitty. That second pic?! Omg. And she looks hot as hell lol

HUGE first issue for Magik, maybe my favorite #1 from this era so far. Also really good week for X-Force and Wolverine, two books I haven't loved but are really picking up stream!

I would LOVE for Kitty to show up in this book and their friendship be explored more... but it definitely seems like they're building up a friendship between her and Juggernaught, which could be interesting!
