The rest of the teen / school stuff was good character work, even if slightly less interesting, but I assume we all think/know Sinister is going to be behind this. While I'm lowkey a Sinister stan (when he's queen-y lol)... this feels too soon to bring him back and makes me nervous 😵💫 #Xspoilers

I have not stopped thinking about Magik #1 since it came out and I think these is my favorite sequence of panels in the issue.
That smirk as she saves the assholes while also giving them just a couple seconds of limbo so perfectly sums up Illyana for me. Amazing art, amazing writing.

Uncanny feels like the runaway winner of #FromtheAshes so far. Gail is writing Rogue and Gambit more interestingly than they've been in YEARS, the Marquez art is STUNNING, and the new kids are sooooo good so far! Minor quibbles aside, it's just the best 🤷🏻♂️

I can't say enough how much I love this book's commitment to the post-Krakoa impact on its characters. Their voices are spot on and the art is f-ing incredible. It's a perfect New Mutants/Gen-X style book for this era. I look forward to this so much every month.

This was a better version of the Psylocke #1 imo. Basically the exact same plot (wtf?) but this felt more streamlined, her impetus for her journey made complete sense to me, and had GREAT action beats. I enjoyed a lot and am excited for more!

I know people love him but i don't get the Wernock art at ALL and find the smoothed faces so distracting. I think this book has the highest upside of any to me, a lot of interesting ideas (maybe too many?) and I hope they all land, just needs more time i think!

I NEVER read Wolverine books but gave this a chance and didn't love, but then weirdly pulled me in around issue 3? I enjoy the way Saladin writes Logan and am intrigued by the adamantium story—even if the book is slightly too talk-y overall. Hope he keeps this level up!

I NEVER read Wolverine books but gave this a chance and didn't love, but then weirdly pulled me in around issue 3? I enjoy the way Saladin writes Logan and am intrigued by the adamantium story—even if the book is slightly too talk-y overall. Hope he keeps this level up!

Only 1 issue in but I actually kinda liked it? Old Cable isn't a character I usually am drawn to, but the love interest seems like a nice foil, and, if it keeps up this level, I'll be interested to see if/how it ties into the rest of the current X books.

Totally subjective but I HATE the art's glossy textures 🥴 I love Havok and Polaris but nothing really interesting is happening with them (which i want!). And this recent issue felt v regressive for Lorna's character. The running corndog bit rules though lol

Interesting concept, but felt like it was either hampered by editorial or couldn't decide quite what to be. The characters also just aren't distinct enough and the art REALLY doesn't help that. The body horror stuff was interesting tho?
