I’ve been trying really hard to stay positive and hopeful for the future of the United States and my personal place in this country. But as the days go on and the news keeps coming.. I’m terrified of what will happen. There are so many that are going to be affected.. I’m so afraid for all of us.

Republicans in Congress in particular had been trying for years to move against TikTok because of its Chinese parent company. In late 2023-early 2024, while TikTok was used to channel massive pro-Palestinian sentiment, a serious bipartisan congressional effort organized to ban it.
