in practice people only avoid assuming pronouns for people they suspect might be trans, it's just woke degendering
hot take: I think we should go back to assuming peoples pronouns. if we get it wrong, we should be corrected, say "thank you for correcting me", and not get it wrong again.

a lot of my fave hair/makeup tutorials were made by 15 year olds with cheap cameras in like 2009. the crust is part of the appeal.
i doubt any of them even remember how to access their old accounts, let alone care enough to preserve those old relics of the subculture

If you think supporting marginalized subcommunities is "prompting infighting," I'd encourage you to look in the mirror.
It doesn't denigrate white trans women to focus on Black trans women, or denigrate binary trans people to show solidarity with nonbinary people.

When you deadname or misgender someone just because you dislike them you are still perpetuating transphobia. Bigotry remains bigotry no matter who the target is.
