It’s not impossible we could arrive in a world without antidepressants, but our best guess is it won’t happen fast and there will be many road blocks for RFKJ. That being said, now would be a good time to talk to your provider about a 90-day supply of medication, especially if you are on an SSRI.

There are ~7 classes of antidepressants and over 30 medications licensed in the US. Pulling the FDA licenses for all these drugs would prove difficult (especially given the money involved for pharmaceutical companies) Fortunately or unfortunately, pharmaceutical companies have strong lobbyist groups
