I write absolutely delicious erotic fiction, often fantasy, sometimes sci-fi. They often turn out to be slow-burn romance.

I know, after all the shit-talking I heard during my youth about "the government", it was really shocking to get my first private sector job and be like, "Holy shit. Dilbert comics aren't even satire."

What sort of living arrangement has other people in the space where my children keep their art?
Some sort of shared kitchen apartment or something?

The Internet is a poison to relationships.
Between the "Treat her like crap" alpha males and the "BARE MINIMUM!" crap, you'd be an absolutely immature emotional child if you tried to run a relationship based on what you hear.

I was reading an Orson Scott Card book where he prescribed this for gay people.
Get married like god wants, avoid the gay temptation. Imagine your gay lovers if you have to so you can have sex and make babies like a good Mormon/Christian/whatever.

My experience with all the people whose relationships I personally know is that there are just as many women as men who give in to the "marriage is about efficiency, romance eventually fades, let's just not even try anymore" schtick, but I don't have a scientific study on that or anything.

This sounds like someone who bought into the "the honeymoon ends eventually" bullshit, so she just gave up in advance.
I'd love to get her husband's perspective.
Is he enforcing this attitude as well?
Or is he wondering, "What the hell happened to my loving, romantic girlfriend?"

It sounds like 25 year olds are too mature for him, so what chance would he have with a 53 year old?

That's how you know you're old.
If you fall down and people laugh, you're young.
If they come running over to help you, you're old.

The Corporate Dems are afraid of the success of one Progressive Dem.
That's the only thing that makes sense here.

A uniform and a $50k signing bonus?
November 9, 2025 at 11:10 PM
I mean, sure, I wish.
But we all know the Democrats don't have the spine to do what's necessary.
They'll have to mitigate and ameliorate and heal and some bullshit and let the Republicans back in for another term so they can outright starts shooting their opponents.

I do have a story somewhere where a door was left "slightly ajar".
[sigh]

I mean, I really hope you guys can get out of this mess without baseball bats, pitchforks, torches, guillotines etc.

The thing is, he could remained "aloof superhero tech genius" and nobody would have looked into it if he'd just stayed over there at Tesla/Starlink/SpaceX.
But he had to buy Twitter, get into politics, fuck up the gov't, give two Sieg Heils etc.
Then *everyone* looked into it... and down he came.

Not me.
The ones from Canada say, "Kraft Dinner" on them.
...
You know we have "Ketchup flavoured" Doritos and potato chips here, right?
Do they have ketchup flavoured KD?

Everything else aside:
I will never drink from anything called a "Sex Bucket".

Yeah.
He knew damn well when he found someone attractive. There's nothing evil about that. But if you love your spouse, you don't give yourself temptations. That's just dumb and disloyal.
November 8, 2025 at 12:38 AM
When someone does something awful, the first thing to do is assume it's because they themselves are awful.
But, yeah, a lot of people go beat the shit out of "the other man/woman".
Like, no, bro.
Just leave your spouse.
They don't love you.
It's not that other person's fault.
