Worth noting that Die Linke got <5% last time and still got in thanks to the Grundmandatsklausel, they could still do the same this time (that scenario is less likely for FDP & BSW though)

Exactly, and even when we collaborate and specialise, awkward compromises persist to protect national economic interests. Just look at the Eurofighter, with the right and left wings being assembled in different countries...
