Considering all the other parallels with Lovecraft, is anyone else shit-scared to find out what JK Rowling's cat is called?

The Leprus monkey, cebrus leprus, or 'leprechaun', is the only species of monkey native to Ireland, belonging to the capuchin family.

Like grey wolves and the Irish elk, the Leprus was driven to near-extinction during the British occupation of Ireland. Today, Leprus remain critically endangered

Conservative SF fans will really look at Star Trek and think about getting rid of all the poor people instead of getting rid of all the poverty.

Alestorm were rad. Chatted with a wide variety of metalheads. Explained the basics of socialism to my Uber driver. Solid evening.

Avast Wellington; anyone I know heading to Alestorm tonight?

Taking emotional damage because I'm an upstanding communications professional and so cannot refer to a killer whale pod stealing fish as 'orca-nised crime'

Yeah c'mon guys, Man Up aren't a criminal gang. Gangs are organised, assault and intimidate people, and cause misery, pain, and suffering across the country, whereas Destiny... Oh.

Yo is someone fucking with the simulation settings and making everything steadily more absurd to see just how batshit insane our reality needs to become before people actually notice and do something about it or am I just over-caffeinated?

Fuck offfffff I've actually gotta work tomorrow #eqnz

I'm not saying getting back into #Warhammer40K after 20+ years is a GOOD idea, but I'm (mostly) pretty pleased with how my Blade Champion came out #AdeptusCustodes

I had fun writing this story about a little blue penguin who really, REALLY didn't want to leave rehab www.gisborneherald.co.nz/no-more-blue...
No more blues for this little penguin - The Gisborne Herald
Website and daily print publication for the Gisborne region. One of only four independently owned daily newspapers in New Zealand.

My favourite part of people test reading my redrafted novel is they are not worried about the things I was worried about (good) but instead totally different, much harder to change things (less good).

Ah hell, I forgot to beware the Ides of March.

Oh well it's probably fine, see y'all at the Senate later

NACT Ministers: Comms people are useless, look how shit they are, we should get rid of them.

Also NACT Ministers: Why doesn't anyone want to be my press secretary?

I am pleased to announce my aggressive nihilism died with the COVID and I once again burn with the fires of revolution
COVID is fun because I just wrote a 1200 word treatise on why NZ needs to elect a centrist Labour/National coalition government in 2026 in order to stably weather World War 3, and it legitimately makes perfect sense to my brain right now.

Professionally, I cannot say "I know this thing doesn't say that because I wrote the fucking thing and did not write that" but my friends, some days it is a close call.

Oh, so you're in a relationship? Well, which one of you is content spending the rest of eternity in the time loop so long as you have each other, and which one is adamant about attempting to leave the time loop by any means necessary so you can get on with your real lives?

Look Deck The Halls is an imperfect movie but there's a bit where someone mentions a Wolfenstein Christmas carol and I think we as a society need to remember that

My husband read my test chapters for the first time and has given the highest praise possible.

"Overall good, I'd read this."

Now to make the other 75% of it as readable.

Hey writers, how do you combat self-cringe?

I'm getting some chapters together for people to give feedback on and the cringe is killing me.

Rational part of my brain: No don't get back into 40K, you have too many hobbies already, even if you didn't that army doesn't exist and wouldn't be playable, and you have the entire Bloodborne board game to paint anyway

The rest of my brain: Chaos Custodes Chaos Custodes Chaos Custodes
