I was honored by the @psychscience.bsky.social DEI Committee's invitation to help curate this collection of outstanding articles addressing a range of issues related to anti-Black racism. I also couldn't have asked for a more thoughtful and thorough partner in @johnjost.bsky.social. Please share!
This virtual special collection, The Psychological Science of Anti-Black Racism, an Ongoing Social Problem, highlights a selection of articles published in APS journals over the past decade that explore the enduring problem of anti-Black racism in the U.S.

I am so delighted to share that this truly momentous amount of work is now out and available - free and online - to anyone! Grateful to these editors for committing to open access, and proud to have played a small part in this big volume. (thread)
Since 1954, "The Handbook of Social Psychology" has been the field’s most authoritative reference work, and today is the launch of the 6th edition with 50 new chapters by 100 leading scholars. Best news? The HSP is now an open-access public resource—free to read, download, and share. the-hsp.com

Structural barriers to unionization are manifold, but what about psychological barriers? Orgs foster identification & commitment among workers, which inhibit interest in unionizing. Exposure to org conflicts & union info reduces workers' perceived alignment with orgs & improves pro-union attitudes.

It is, quite literally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Juveria Invitational Tournament incoming.
Hi it’s me! I hear this place is less of a desolate hellscape. Anyway I’ll be on Jeopardy! again soon and I’m happy to finally be in my mob wife era.

There are many layers here, but I want to comment on one aspect of these findings for now--the editorial board representation. Some will see this and immediately think: we need to get more POC on our boards! I understand that impulse, but encourage you to think a few steps down the game tree 1/n.

Just said goodbye to my account on the other place. Happy to be posting about social/political psychology, women's sports, and trivia exclusively over here now!

This work is so cool!! Delighted to now have a peer-reviewed answer to the question “why is my brain like this?”
Many people enjoy trivia, but some people are way better at it than the rest of us. What is different about how their memory works?

Our research (led by Monica Thieu, w/ Lauren Wilkins) characterizing the memories of trivia experts vs. non-experts is now out and featured in @sciam.bsky.social!

I set one big goal for myself in my Jeopardy game tonight: get some questions wrong.

I felt I played my original game a bit safe, only buzzing when I was 100% sure. Coming back for the second chance competition, I knew I needed to go for more questions, and to shake off the inevitable misses.

Today is the day! Catch me in the Jeopardy Second Chance Competition tonight!!
Pretty darn delighted to announce that I will be back on the Alex Trebek stage! Getting to play Jeopardy was an absolute dream, and getting to play twice is more than I could have asked for. Catch me in the Second Chance Competition airing 12/28!

This is led by Brittany Torrez as part of her incredible dissertation and with LaStarr Hollie and @jaricheson.bsky.social

It extends our work on #racialprogress beliefs to organizational diversity efforts. In particular, it asks what these misperceptions mean for future plans?
