I'm burned out from the bad political takes from those on the left and right alike, their tribes over the truth. We, as a species, were meant for far greater things. Like cat videos and delicious baking recipes. Don't be like X.
No change. Still far too annoying.

This place is only a handful of years from charging for blue checkmarks.

Wow. A sick old guy died. Double pneumonia, it was reported. Anomalous. You are on to something, here.

Yuge.

I remember a time when folks downplayed 22 top secret email chains on a publicly accessible server. Fun times.

Cabinet members are obviously special.

That would require me imagining stealing a purse first, an impossibility.

The House has been off work for 3/4 of the year so far. So, there’s that.

Elon doesn’t even own 20% of Tesla. These are shareholders - individual investors and people with retirement accounts - getting screwed.

You don't win people to your side by being dicks to them. I have colleagues who are terrified about going out today. We all bought in to "do our part" with the environment and see these random acts of vandalism against private owners as a betrayal.

Or maybe you guys want a President Vance?

Y'all really should stick to being peaceful, as in "no violence". Especially considering that most people took out loans to buy their vehicle and cannot afford to sell and take on negative equity amidst dropping resale values.

You are literally encouraging people to commit acts that the government has declared as terrorism. Are you going to help your readers with top notch legal counsel when they play the “Rick Wilson told me to do it” defense?

I really hope you finished watching the films so that this isn’t a spoiler, but Gondor ended up with a king after the defeat of Sauron. Aragorn takes the throne, after all.

I hear you have a lot of free time now, so feel free to catch up on the series.

I dunno. People condemning Elon now used to think he was a rather stand-up guy. And while being a billionaire now, Beast just crossed that threshold and I doubt he has the resources to pull off a full buyout.

Twitter/X had the same toolset. This site is almost an exact copy.

You know, after he buys the platform, he’ll just be another one of those social media owner types you seem to despise. 🤔
January 22, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Why am I here? Why are you gatekeeping instead of using the tools at your disposal to curate your feed? Why should someone dictate the entire platform to cater to you? You can:

1) ignore the message all together,
2) mute/block users
3) mute specific words and phrases

Try being an adult for once.

If you have a hard time condemning values you are against, that’s on you.

He’s just a man, not God. Man is flawed.
January 15, 2025 at 11:44 PM
And one could argue that he “elevated the conversation” by allowing everyone in the platform. You can easily block the more obnoxious ones and yes, that means you have to have bad people.

But Twitter was banning people for saying “learn to code” and I’m not going to defend that.

I find it odd how “being wrong” is considered “doing grave damage to our democracy”.

You want to fight disinformation? Make a better argument.

Perhaps I confused a legitimate critique hiding somewhere in your post?

They encourage people to kill themselves in Canadian “health care”. I’ll pass.

In a world with unlimited resources, sure. But here, in reality, there are limited medical supplies and doctors.
