This post is going around again, and folks are pointing out that lots of cis folks voice opposite gender roles and that it seems so weird that trans women especially don’t get the same opportunities as their cis, trans masc, or non-binary counterparts.

It is very annoying that people assume trans women voice actresses will "refuse to voice a male character."
I've heard this sentiment from cis working professional AND from fan communities.
It's not true. At all.
We, trans women VAs, will happily take those roles.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?

This ordeal has changed my perspective on 3:00 am wake-ups. I’m grateful for her howling for food, for her waking me up for chin scratches. The hide & seek game she plays by meowing & hiding under the bed has become my favorite. Full litters boxes & empty bowls are all signs she’s healing. ❤️🩹
