I like the when_any() idea. Syntax 'feels' similar to case_when() which I find myself using a lot these days.

This filter_out() approach looks amazing. More than half the time I use filter(), I'm actually trying to get rid of rows rather than keep them. The NA issue with filter() has caused problems for me more than once (because it took me a while to figure out each time it was an NA issue).

I mean I've been emotionally detached since they traded Arenado in 2021 so I guess that's a lot of Octobers with really no pressure
