As someone who's worked in esports for a chunk of years, I can say that competitive integrity and legitimacy is highly valued. The fact he thought he could get away with his gaming related lies is beyond me. Players involved in these communities are deeply dialed in, BS is easily spotted.

He's an absolute piece of garbage but he did that all on his own. His parents died and he was left to raise his siblings on his own as a teenager. Something that, one would think would build character, not a 2-dimensional comic book villain.

Often, it’s contractual. Signing in to an expected great film sometimes comes with the caveat that your must do the studio’s bidding for X amount of films in the future.

A sociology PhD student friend told me a few days ago that his department received notice to gather data they may need as it was expected they would be likely go missing from government websites in coming days. Seems the department heads were correct, and maybe had a heads up.
