It's a good day when a tree felling goes according to plan. This was my biggest and trickiest one yet.

My favorite weather is the summertime surprise sunshine downpour. This one came with a rainbow just a few feet away. (No pot of gold was found.)

New snake for me. A speckled King snake.

Growing tomatoes is way easier in Arkansas than DFW. The plants are over 6 feet tall now.

A cottonmouth decided to take residence under my front door step. I like snakes, certainly more than rodents, but coming across it multiple times within a couple days I had to relocate it. It hissed at me but all is well now.

Timeline cleanse: Snowbirds. They are hungry.

21 degrees this morning and the frost flowers bloomed.

After 10 inches of rain a couple weeks ago and a 20 ft flood wave, the Kings River rearranged the channel and now we get to enjoy the sounds of riffling water. I am amazed how dynamic rivers are.

Ready for winter. All of this wood was sourced from the homestead in the last year. Lots of splitting left!
