I did fire weather for 9 years, so it is interesting to me and it is definitely challenging for a whole other set of reasons compared to convective. A lot of those being inconsistent fuels info.

I’m off that day, and if the government shutdown continues the Federal partnership won’t be able to participate unfortunately. I may be there with my kids though, so say hello if you spot me.

Aaaand nevermind. New dropsonde was even lower. 893mb would be 4th most intense. We’ll see what additional data may bring.

I figured it was a long shot, but sent a message to the lab via their webpage. They emailed me back & said they would love to give him a tour & let him shadow a few of their workers. How cool is that?!?!
