It's an off year for the #Perseid meteor shower due to the moon, but some blaze so bright that the moonlight isn't an issue.

There's also a window between nightfall and moonrise to look for evening "earthgrazers" (I counted 6 of them last night in 30 minutes!) www.accuweather.com/en/space-new...

Lightning bug season is in full swing!

With the help of timelapse, you can actually see the movement of the fireflies. Video can’t capture just how incredible the light show is in person.

Multiple roads flooded in Tipton, PA after intense rain for an hour straight. This comes on the heels of one of the wettest Mays on record.

This line of severe thunderstorms could create a "meteotsunami" on Lake Michigan -- essentially a weather-generated surge of water that may arrive along the coast of Michigan with the storms.

Small surprise to end April: A #firefly appeared in my backyard following a stretch of warm and wet weather (appears twice in the video)

2024 was a big year for lightning bugs, so this is a promising sign for another good year ahead!

A new, very large sunspot is rotating around to the Earth-facing side of the sun. This is likely the main feature to watch on the sun over the next week or two #spaceweather
