Late morning a lovely male Marsh Harrier flew east,in set aside fields 100 Chaffinches,10 Goldfinches,8 Reed Buntings,2 Yellowhammers & 1 Brambling.

At first light a female Goshawk was already up flying around,8 Hawfinch dropped into trees just after sunrise.
Red Kites moving north after coming out of roost, many thousands of Woodpigeons flying around in all directions.
2 Greenfinch,45 Linnets,Chaffinches,Fieldfares and Redwings noted.

Late morning flocks of 25 & 28 dark bellied Brents flew over SW,20 Pochards still.
Earlier at 09:55 two White tailed Eagles over Sharpthorne,then a Drake Goldeneye on Ardingly res was nice place an immature Goshawk.

3 Bramblings,140 Redwings,500+ Starlings and 400 Woodpigeons on the move this afternoon.
Just 3 Little Grebes new in,Marsh Tit on feeders.

White tailed Eagle showed well as did 2 Marsh Harriers.
Distant Whooper Swan,Glossy Ibis was much more showy and a Ruff spotted amongst 180+ Lapwings.
Thousands of Geese but no Ducks,similar at Henfield Levels this morning.

Around 200 Parakeets currently roosting at The Mill Pond,Crawley…
Probably the largest number recorded in Sussex, 2 Redwings and a Little Grebe noted too.

2 Great white Egrets,Bar- headed Goose with the Greylags,2 Kingfishers,Gadwall,Teal, Mandarins noted.
Highlight was a female Goshawk which showed twice putting everything up.
Just 2 Redwings and a single Mistle Thrush.

Really pleased with finding a Yellow browed Warbler this morning, calling in the NE boundary fence at Whillet’s.Unfortunately as soon as I’d located which small tree it was in it flew to larger trees called several times then vanished.

Quick Look late afternoon, had a Peregrine which flew towards the dam.
Flock of 25 Redwings north,2 Meadow Pipits SE.
On the water 22 Teal,12 Mandarins,5 Wigeon,Shoveler,2 Little Grebes,2 Little Egrets and 2 Kingfishers.

Stunning male Hen Harrier hunting over the fields this morning,at least one Glossy Ibis noted.
4 or 5 Marsh Harriers over the marsh with several Buzzards and Kestrels.3 Great Egrets and stacks of Little Egret.
Flyby of hundreds of Golden Plovers and Pink footed Geese,2 Green Sands too.

Another slow day c250 pink footed Geese,28 Redwings,3 Swallows,c100 Skylarks,10 Stonechats,4 Pintail,2 Com Scoter,Goldcrest,Yellowhammer,loads of Tree Sparrows and a Rock Pipit.

Arrived late afternoon 52 Pink-footed geese & 3 Whooper Swans south,Corn Bunting,some Tree Sparrows,Pintail,Snipe,3 Stonechat,2 House Martins,5 Swallows,3 Yellowhammers,2 Chiffchaffs to be fair probably saw more Butterflies and dragonflies then birds.
