When we restore nature, nature restores us. 🌍
The news is clear: overshooting 1.5°C of global warming is now 'inevitable'. ⚠️

But by how much, and for how long, is still something we can change. 🌍

As #COP30 kicks off in Brazil, all eyes turn to the world leaders in attendance. Will they take this opportunity to change course?

The world’s smallest elephant is under threat.💔

~60% of the Bornean elephant’s forest habitat has been lost in the past 40yrs, mainly due to logging & conversion to palm oil plantations.
But we're rooting for their success! In 2023 we set up the Elly Allies initiative to tackle habitat loss & more.

Early November is the perfect time to enjoy autumn colour as the leaves turn.🍂 ✨

Why not take a woodland walk and see how many colours you can spot?

Snow leopards roam across vast ranges in mountainous habitat. 🗻

But as human development expands, these big cats are finding their homes fragmented by roads, railways, and more.

That’s why we’re working with countries to lessen the impact of new construction.

Camera traps at new heights. 📸

In Arunachal Pradesh, at 4,200m above sea level, WWF India have documented some incredible species living at this altitude, including 6 wild cat species!

Part of our ongoing work to support snow leopards and their prey, with thanks to #DarwinInitiative.

We've gone underground!

Who's spotted our latest campaign posters around London? Letting you know what can be achieved with your support. 💚

Here's hoping they bring a little positive news to the commute. ✨

October brings Adélie penguins back to Antarctica’s rocky shores to raise their chicks. 🐧

Warming temps mean heavier snow, covering the bare rocks they need to nest.

A 2°C rise could threaten their future — but with your support we can help them thrive. 💙

⏰PSA: #ClocksGoBack means an extra hour of morning light!

Why not spend it soaking up some nature? 🍃

Evenings may be darker, but we’ve got plenty of ideas to bring nature into your day. 👉 www.wwf.org.uk/prescription...

Meet snow leopard cub, Meiduo. 😍

You may recall Meiduo’s mother & her suiter, who we shared on Valentine’s.

This #InternationalSnowLeopardDay, photographer Luo Xiaoyun treats us to new images of the family, who he's observed for years.

We're helping them thrive. 👇

Autumn is a busy season for hedgehogs. 🍂

They’re foraging, feasting, and gathering leaves to build cosy nests before hibernation.

Ways you can help:
🌿 Leave log piles or compost heaps for shelter
🍁 Avoid tidying up fallen leaves

Devastating forest fires had a huge impact on Bolivia’s jaguars. 💔

Just one year on, estimated numbers in Chiquitania have plummeted & only a quarter remain.

But hope remains.

WWF Bolivia are working with local government & communities to better protect their forest from fire in the future. 👐

The magnificent red deer rut. 🍂🦌

During rutting season, stags put on a powerful display, clashing antlers as they compete for the chance to mate.

If you’re lucky enough to witness it, remember to keep a safe distance.

The Global Tipping Points Report is clear: without urgent climate action, damage to nature could be irreversible. 🚨

But it's not too late to stop the destruction.

Tell your MP we need action at #COP30 - for the Amazon, for nature, for our world. 🌎👉 https://ow.ly/C9nB50X9Fjg

The Amazon is at breaking point.

If we lose it, we lose one of our best defences against climate change. 🌍

At #COP30, the UK government must act to protect forests.

Email your MP and call on them to speak up for nature, before it's too late. 👉 www.wwf.org.uk/act/living-p...

The Amazon and its wildlife, like jaguars and river dolphins, depend on both healthy forests and healthy rivers.

A new WWF-led study has mapped important shared spaces with high species abundance, helping scientists identify where roads and dams should NOT be built. 🐬

The climate crisis isn’t slowing down and neither can we. 🚨

Giving up on climate action would be a huge blow for nature, household finances and those on the front lines of climate change.

We’ve come this far. Let’s not turn back now. 🌱

Rhino monitoring, but with an added surprise! 🦏

This is Lankeu, a middle-aged black rhino who is still in his prime - despite his love for a nap.

But its thanks to your support that we can help rhinos live their best Lankeu life, by training teams to monitor populations & reduce poaching levels. 💙

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall.

She was a force for nature, tirelessly advocating for the protection and restoration of our natural world.

Her presence will be sorely missed." - Tanya Steele, CEO WWF UK.

Blessing your feed with some baby arctic foxes.

At this time of year, young foxes in Finland are leaving the den to start life on their own.

The arctic fox is a critically endangered species in Finland but the good news is, numbers have been increasing in recent years.🧡
