Yeah, I think you're right, though a more user friendly version that "just works" for noobs would be great.

I have one, but not tried hooking it up to a monitor+kb+mouse. Is the "not fun" a function of the hardware or how the software is designed? More hardware support is probably a big barrier. As you mentioned, nv cards...

I would be curious about your opinion of SteamOS as a replacement for Windows for PC gaming (for existing PCs), if Valve ever allows/releases it (think they will?). I know many are eager to ditch Windows. But we also still want the utility of a "normal" PC.

Oh I agree. It's dumb whenever they try too hard to explain reboots or alternate timelines. Like in Star Trek (2009), I guess they sorta need to explain why Spock is there from the future but... basically... the viewer doesn't care.
