Yes, I was burnt for several years before I convinced my boss to let me take a sabbatical. I was not getting anywhere in life, just getting though the day then coping with beer and gaming. Sabbaticals should be more common as a 2-4 week vacation is not long enough to recover from burnout.
I'm not sure which of you need to hear this, but:
If you push yourself to your limits and burn out for a company, you are trading years of your future productivity for minor gains in the present.
Burning out will _fuck you up_, it's like brain fog or depression, and it takes years to recover

I decided to try and learn GDevelop in order to help my nephew learn the basics of programming. I was looking at Scratch as well but this seems better as you can actually make real games and it's open source.
2024 is not finished yet but GDevelop already crossed 12k stars on GitHub 🌟

I decided to try and learn GDevelop in order to help my nephew learn the basics of programming. I was looking at Scratch as well but this seems better as you can actually make real games and it's open source.
