(He/Him). Roleplaying stuff. Lefty. Thoroughly enjoyed 4e D&D. The Fog is one of the best horror movies ever made. Can't get enough Forged in the Dark and random indie #ttrpg. Also can't be making up a new profile at my time of life.

Day ... I've lost track. I think it's November still?

G-d D--n but I regret ever starting this stupid project to map the locations of the Neath's bones. What was I thinking! I hardly ever use the b----y things!

We are all very tired, and nobody trusts anyone anymore.

We're doing "four games that made you a better GM or player" here because.

Just to be clear, @failbettergames.com, if anything bad happens to Mrs Frumple, the Delightful Reverend and I are both coming after you with shotguns like avenging angels. That is all.

Almost everyone else I know is at an important meeting down south about one (1) former race-course and some probably structurally sound sheds. I meanwhile am on a train to That Bolton to hang with a homie and play Arkham Horror LCG. I am wearing my Christmas Hat for reasons. Wish everyone luck.

Drop someone scared while you are waiting for your one-o-clock Wednesday meeting to start and literally have nothing better to do than hang out on Bluesky.

I've just found my new Doctor

(Although I will also - heresy - take Lucy Lawless if you please because New Zealand/Aotearoa is *kind of* the Scotland of Oceania if you squint at it shut up taking no further questions)

"My Lord, what are you *doing*?"

"I am studying the exhibits, Samson. What does it look like I'm doing?"

Ambrose wiped his bloody nose on his handkerchief and selected another sample from the case.

"By *licking* them?"

"Yes, Samson. By licking them."

He matched action to word. He winced.

Who would I get to host strictly?

So a hexcrawl is more like a map where PCs can travel anywhere they can get to, but they explore by moving between hexes. Because of the scale involved, there's often a procedural element to what they find, with only some of the hexes have keyed encounters. 1/2

Nodes connected by routes, basically. Like an underground map or a dungeon with more stylised passages. This is the one I'm using for the current area in Salvage Union (although I'm running in a way that gives PCs info about what is in each node, which is not default, but helps decision making)

It is apparently Black Wearing Wednesday?

As it happens I have a sweet little doggo who seems in need of serious pats.

My favourite pokemon. You can play too (it's wrong answers though! Psyike!!)

Blah blah film blah born.

Only picked this because I couldn't find a poster for the Erotic Adventures of Frankenstein. Also because the movie is a classic I guess.

Ran #SalvageUnion #ttrpg. At the last minute I decided not to run Rainmaker, and instead rip chunks of it off. It's a good adventure, but the maps didn't entirely get the more sandboxy point-crawl feel I was after. So we're in NOT DARTMOOR looking for Smith*Cross*Pride Technologies black R&D sites.

I had to google Frateris Militia, and now I'm worried this is going to awaken something in me.

Fallen London. The Waswood is a great addition from @failbettergames.com. as someone who has returned from long exile, and played sporadically back in the day, being able to play through abridged versions of older events is solid gold. Laughing at the Coiheart Games and sad I missed it live.

Having been beaten to Lifeforce, here is another of my favourite vampire movies. Apparently if you saw thos you have to quote repost it with your own vampire. I don't make the rules, and if they can be broken they must be broken.

Woot! It's proving to be a great month for Gifts Past Raff has Bought Me. @soulmuppet.co.uk are a good publisher and I back their stuff on reflex. They've got a kickstarter on at the minute for a tasty Soulslike ttrpg you should check out, while I dive into "beat bad landlords with sticks"

I watched Dead End Paranormal Park a while back and very much enjoyed it. It's a goofy tale of weird shennanigans, fun demons, and bad angels. It has a bunch of representation. I'm as cis as they come and found Barney relatable as heck. I'm sad it was cancelled a season early, several years ago.

Salvage Union #ttrpg sess0 with Sunday Posse. Character creation smooth - flowcharts are a great help.

Used quick "introduction then other players ask you a question about the character" sequence that helped bring them and the world out a bit.

Had fun. Looking forward to next session.

Am I being blind or is there a dearth of third party stuff for the Salvage Union #ttrpg from @leylinepress.bsky.social ?

I've enjoyed playing and thinking its framework marries directed open world and point crawl well. Just poking around for more region stuff.

Willy's Wonderland. What if you crossed Five Nights At Freddie's with Power Wash Simulator but it was a fighting game and Nicholas Cage was giving a career best silent protagonist?

Has become a go-to comfort movie for some reason - not because a bunch of annoying teens get murdered I assure you.

Whoop whoop! #TheBetween from @jasoncordova.bsky.social up for PDF download by backers! Am downloading it now. A game I'd like to play, but might be persuaded to run provided I had the right kind of players and also a good soundtrack and maybe a tie.

Know what I'm reading through this weekend.
