one of quite a number of meshikhist and anti-meshikhist ephemera, which Ada Rapoport-Albert held in her library. regardless of its content, i am SO gonna use this 'notice' in my forthcoming book on Chabad

A cool item from the Ada Rapoport-Albert collection in the Taube Dept of Jewish Studies in Wrocław: a series of Shaul Shimon Deutsch's sermons (Likute Derashot), delivered by hjm as the rebbe of Chabad-Anshe Liozna; a rare view into an alternative history of contemporary Hasidism.

Yud Tes Kislev is drawing near and so is my essay on the curious custom of eating shvartse kashe (buckwheat) in Chabad-Lubavitch, as well as on nostalgia, invented traditions and the Americanisation of Hasidism. soon in your libraries and pirate repositories online.
