There’s a sample of it between tracks on DJ Shadow’s Entroducing album and the first time I heard it, I was listening to it in the middle of the night… On headphones. In the dark. Alone.
Stopped the cd immediately and put on Bjork’s Homogenic as part of the therapy I needed afterwards.

I was steeped in horror from a very early age. And while I watched a ton of scary things, I was never really scared. I knew it was a movie; but that transmission scene has haunted me forever. It’s like watching sleep paralysis happen.

Yeah, the shoot was good and I ended up with a nice batch of shots that would work.
The final draft, if it happens, will be a more painterly, pulp style. Something inspired by Mead Schaeffer and Dean Cornwell.
It is Double Indemnity.
Something I should watch again soon.
