@o2bnobx.bsky.social today I was talking to my hair cutter about bourbons. She likes Buffalo Trace. She said BT has a creamy version that she’s been unable to find. I stopped in a liquor store after & found BT BOURBON CREAM, which I bought & took to her in a gift bag. Also saw Blanton’s.

Monday morning our bowling league celebrated Aiko’s 99th birthday. She’s on the right in the pic. Her average is 127.

I had Brisbane in my World Clock, then looked at Google Earth and added Auckland. I had no idea there was a 3 hour diff between them. I’m enlightened. 😉😳

I’m listening to a book about Facebook’s history, power and influence - Careless People. I get the feeling that we’re so sucked into social media as a global society, that we’re doomed to be controlled by technologists and oligarchs. This is not good.

I’m listening to a book about Facebook’s history, power and influence - Careless People. I get the feeling that we’re so sucked into social media as a global society, that we’re doomed to be controlled by technologists and oligarchs. This is not good.

Thanks for the info. Sometimes I listen to LiveATC and watch traffic in & out of EWR. Being near the Solberg VOR, a lot of traffic for EWR & TEB fly over. Yesterday at 11:00 they were >20 deep waiting on both sides of 4L. Several crews thanked ATC for working.

Sunday morning I was watching traffic at EWR and listening to Live ATC. At 11:00, this is how deep the traffic was waiting on both sides of 4L. Arrivals were on 4R. A few thanked ATC for working. One crew almost had to go back to the gate because of time limits.

A Republican neighbor of mine posted this on FB a few days ago. She works for a small company and earns good money - has a house and travels. I bet the ACA cuts are why premiums are increasing 26%. I know how most of my neighbors vote b/c I work the polls. I see how they’re registered.

@shari-in-the-sky.bsky.social Good Morning Shari. FYI, Newark EWR is a mess this morning. Using 4L for departures, 4R for arrivals. They’re taxiing on both sides of 4L. I’ve never seen so many airplanes in line awaiting departure. I’d expect some to be held at the gate.

I had no idea tRump did this. Apparently, he started issuing bounties on Maduro in 2020 for $15 million. In 2025 it was $25 M in January and doubled it in August.

Funny, however, I have trouble seeing the humor in this.
Since Hitler’s was the first, I see tRump’s as the first historical ‘repeat’. Hence, it’s the tragedy. Not yet the farce. Perhaps I should think of it like Alan’s classic car - it’s just a building. I’m probably overthinking this at 4:20 am.

Thanks for the reminders. I drove a cancer patient today, age 87. His son rode along; he’s a furloughed EPA worker, up from DC to help his dad. We commiserated a bit, and laughed a lot. Then I got ice cream. It’s a beautiful day and I feel better.
