Researcher, founder, designer. Fighting to make a better world one product at a time.
That's like a 2010 bad habit. Seems odd a major organization would still be missing the boat on such a major page (and also not be caught up in litigation due to it being an accessibility failing).
TIL msn.com with JS disabled displays (at least on iOS) literally nothing. A completely blank page.

Years of being "programmed" to format searches to a particular grammar has blinded us to realizing the power of asking a natural question to a machine unfettered by such restraints.

I keep arguing AI is the next big literacy challenge young people face.
Users often search AI with basic keywords, missing its ability to understand natural language and context. Our research reveals a discoverability barrier—many don't know what AI can do.

Why is it with every LinkedIn post, I feel like I need to impress the AI algorithm before it will even consider sharing what I post with my network. Don't need your intervention with people I know, brah.

I do not get the apple liquid glass thing.

I mean beyond everyone’s valid accessibility issues with it I just don’t see the business case for a UI overhaul.

Feels like it’s trying to create hype, but this ain’t 2012 we don’t care.

Can I please have a mouse that stops storing up my scroll wheel to be applied later, randomly, when I really am trying to maintain my place on the screen. It's like Wakandan tech that redistributes energy, just scrolling. This could be the dumbest application of Marvel tech I can imagine if true!

For all the doom and gloom, I do believe this is UX's time to shine. Not the version that is fixated on pixel-perfect UIs, that's not the heart of who we are. But, being there to understand problems and shape customer solutions. There will always be a need for folks who do that.

Great quotes in there. Especially loved "We focused on tools, not outcomes; process, not purpose."
UX didn’t vanish. We just stopped fighting for it.

☑ Experience isn’t a checklist.
☑ Wireframes aren’t outcomes.
☑ Speed shouldn’t outrun strategy.

The real fix? Courage.
To ask better questions.
To protect the “why.”
To stop mistaking tickets for impact.

We didn’t just break UX. We let it get sidelined. Dan Maccarone’s piece is worth your time. But the fix isn’t more tools. It’s more courage. User experience was never supposed to be a checklist. Not...

I wish my days were like video games... where I could get read a document in my inventory and be an expert level marketer or sales person. Instead I think I'll go sit on my bed and fast forward to the end of the day.

Just hit 1 year, bootstrapping my startup, Xperius. Scary, fun, challenging, engaging, exciting, chaotic, and probably a dozen or so other adjectives bounce around my mind trying to capture it all in a message this short. I'm looking forward to what comes next!

It's been a while since I've flown Southwest. The open seating didn't seem to bother me much back then, but now it just feels chaotic and nerve racking. Not sure I'd want to fly with them again... Even Spirit is a little bit more predictable at least.

I'm pushing to maintain as much optimism as possible these days, but every day brings enough baggage that would make Annie bemoan the lack of sun coming out tomorrow. Still, the world goes on. I'm going to meet it head on!

Well said!
When talking about UX or advocating for research or usability, I don’t frame it as, “Here’s my suggestion.” say, “Here’s what we need to do.” Not to bulldoze anyone, but to speak with certainty.
