For all the doom and gloom, I do believe this is UX's time to shine. Not the version that is fixated on pixel-perfect UIs, that's not the heart of who we are. But, being there to understand problems and shape customer solutions. There will always be a need for folks who do that.

I wish my days were like video games... where I could get read a document in my inventory and be an expert level marketer or sales person. Instead I think I'll go sit on my bed and fast forward to the end of the day.

Just hit 1 year, bootstrapping my startup, Xperius. Scary, fun, challenging, engaging, exciting, chaotic, and probably a dozen or so other adjectives bounce around my mind trying to capture it all in a message this short. I'm looking forward to what comes next!

It's been a while since I've flown Southwest. The open seating didn't seem to bother me much back then, but now it just feels chaotic and nerve racking. Not sure I'd want to fly with them again... Even Spirit is a little bit more predictable at least.

I'm pushing to maintain as much optimism as possible these days, but every day brings enough baggage that would make Annie bemoan the lack of sun coming out tomorrow. Still, the world goes on. I'm going to meet it head on!
