Apparently, it's a shaoji thing, or a HI3 thing they carried over in HSR. At least from what a couple of people who played HI3 told me.

At the very least, I hope I have never given the impression that they have been brainwashed into liking each other, or I'd consider it a failure as a writer.

I don't think any character should be sold primarily as a boyfriend/girlfriend. It makes them shallow and unrealistic, because no real human exists for the sole purpose of loving someone else. The writers end up writing a "love interest", instead of writing "a person".

It loses a lot of its charm for me, unfortunately. I can't even rewatch their in-game interactions without wondering if there is it's true, or if he's being conditioned into that and it's actually not real.

Tbh, I think they mostly wanted to sell a new "girlfriend" character. So they ended up writing everything around that and forgot to give her substance. I have a hard time pinpointing her goals, her motivations, or even her personality beyond her being a Deus-ex-machina and loving MC.

The writing of those parts sure is... something.

10. All in all, I found this patch underwhelming, to say the least. I enjoyed Amphoreus for most of the time, especially from 3.0 to 3.4. Now I'm as disappointed as I was at the end of Penacony.

of the Irontomb situation (which was instead relegated to side content), it was 90% about Memrene yapping on and on and on about love and MC, and how special their bond it. As if she didn't do that enough before. By the end, I just wanted it all to end. And I'm not supposed to feel this way!

Remember that feeling when, after Sauron's defeat and Aragorn's coronation, you expected the movie to end at any moment, but it just... didn't? Instead, it kept adding scene, after scene, after scene? Well, the same happened here. The difference is that, instead of focusing on the proper aftermath

7. The CHs felt kinda sidelined a lot of the time. I think this is an extension of the writers trying to focus on the ending + trying to sell Cyrene at the same time.

8. The final sequence. OMG that final sequence. If you have ever watched the LOTR movie trilogy, you probably remember its ending.
