I get twitchy flashbacks when I read a brit talking about relying on public transport in the UK, particularly the trains. What a shitshow.

I made the same reference comparison to the game when I was explaining it to other elderly folk like me. Which then meant explaining that and I think they were just even more confused by the end. So, a win?

I mean, we all ignored it, mind.

This deeply off-putting training was part of the schtick in most of the UK supermarkets I worked for. I think I first came across it in Sainsburys and Waitrose.

I had one tell me they would welcome me 'with open arms' if I would accept I was 'just a GNC woman' which I know is a lie because Maya Forstater etc. made it clear after the SC ruling that it was just tough luck consequences if trans masc folk were thrown out of the ladies if they chose to use them.

Or even just 'uncomfortable'. Can you imagine how anyone would function if they could only live life with people around that made them feel comfortable? They centre their own experience so much they manage to dehumanise even those they approve of who are only there because they aren't 'distressing'.

I left 7 months ago. The sense of survivors guilt is tempered by how difficult the process of beginning again legally is, but I have watched the screws tightening in the UK with increasing horror.

No celebration of the bravery this girl had and fight for a world where she could have lived as herself but instead regret of affirmation and judgement for her “foolish“ choice to be her in this world and if only she had been more sheltered and controlled maybe she would be alive

We all live with this knowledge of the risks we take and the bravery it takes to be ourselves and we’re being confronted with a horrific scenario where the idea is that us getting punished for it is only natural, nothing to be done about it but to keep us in the closet

How did you type this out without collapsing under the irony of being a UK Labour MP in 2025? I know you must be able to see the inevitable responses quoting your own leader's words. As a working class trans person, raised on what I thought were Labour values, I am disappointed every day right now.

It'll always horrify me that in their obscene quest to portray trans women as trying to 'infiltrate women's spaces', GCs have actually just contributed to the dehumanising & erasure of pregnant girls & trans men among others & totally disregard the actual problems in obstetrics. Feminists my arse.
