Writer of primarily feature screenplays (specialties: Horror and Family. I know, right?). Fan of films, TV, books, Halloween Season, the Miami Dolphins, '80s New Wave/Synthpop, and food.
I'm adding that book to my TBR just based on that alone (though the synopsis also sounds great)!

The misuse of "begs the question" as if it means "raises the question" is one of my pet peeves! It may seem pedantic, but I stand by it. I think you may be on to something with how it may have gotten this way.

The moment of the music sting and distorted Polaroid never fails to get me. I think part of it's the timing. They hold onto the silent dread on their faces for what feels like a touch longer than what you'd expect in that kind of moment. Then BAM. Disturbing music, disturbing image. Love it.

Someone else remembers it! I liked it, and I also find it amusing that Matt Letscher and Tom Cavanagh (son and father, respectively, in dream sequences) later both played Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash in The Flash TV series, with Letscher's version essentially "wearing" Cavanagh's face.

So true. And even The Office itself took a little while, not really breaking out of the shadow of the original and into its own thing until the second season. And the first season of Friends, while generally good, still feels a bit awkward to me. Some shows need time and room to get their bearings!

The "quiet please" bits are fantastic!

Thank you for the "word" joke in Cooties. Not sure if that particular moment was written by you, but you certainly delivered it with perfection! I think about that roughly 1-2 times a year.

That's a bummer to hear, especially since the series has largely been solid across 4 movies, which couldn't have been easy. I guess all hot streaks have to end sometime.

When I'm down, I sometimes think how I didn't work as hard as I did on everything, nor did my parents work hard raising me, just for me to stop now. And I think of my hopes & all I want to achieve, which can get my mind on the future instead. Let yourself rest & feel what you feel, then keep going.

Well deserved! The cast of The Pitt was about as perfect as it gets.
