At the vet this morning with one of the Feline Overlords. She is not happy about the peasant uprising that had her wind up here but refuses to dignify the situation with a reaction, instead staying in the carrier and waiting to be carried home again.

When a pet is having major health issues, I seem to become very forgiving of behaviours not normally tolerated. Like sitting at my plate to watch me eat.

This is Leo. He's one of two 13yo cats we just inherited. He's been living under my desk for five days and we've already gotten to the demanding attention stage of our relationship.

The newest member of our household, Mikki is a very anxious, agoraphobic, exercise intolerant huskie-rottie mix coming to us from the home of a recent widower having major medical issues. I have great hopes of her fitting in, but it's going to take time and patience.

Part of my summer research job is learning to make really cool pictures out of radio astronomy data. If my eventual MSc Thesis consisted of only cool pictures and would still fullfil the degree requirements, I'd be happy with that.
