We have a kid with a wheat allergy, and went to Japan earlier this year, and he managed not to get sick at all! Granted, we didn’t try many restaurants (though did find a few excellent GF ones), mostly ate from supermarkets and konbini. But the ingredient labeling is good. 7-11 rice balls ftw. 😊
