Panel 1

August is hard at working doing computer things when his boss comes in to check on him. Anticipation and dread fills August's head. The computer is attempting to install updates.

Stuart: Hey, big guy! Done with the software updates?

August: Almost. There's two computers left.

Panel 2

Stuart glances at his phone which contains the message that's about to ruin August's day.

Stuart: That's great. Really great.

Panel 3

Stuart does his best to sound cheerful while delivering the news. The computer has encountered an error. The screen says "Soul not found. Installing soul."

Stuart: Corporate wants new software so you need to replace it.

August: Again? Do you know why?

Panel 4

Stuart keeps the smile on his face and attempts to ease August's frustrations. The computer screen says "What is love? Am I loved? I'm so lonely."

Stuart: To make things more efficient.

August: All this efficiency keeps doubling my world load.

Stuart: Exactly.
