Printer's Row is relatively cheap for a bachelor pad, and every single L line and a staggering number of bus routes are 1-2 blocks away. The whole neighborhood closes at 10 though, so maybe not great for baddies who want nightlife in their 15 minute city.

Anyways, mad props to Alyson Greaves for her masterpiece. I hope I have the guts to finish it. Taylor Scott deserves the sun, moon, and stars, and a canonization bc she's a saint.

Then again, it's been 6? years and a round of FFS, so idk. Maybe the circumstances won't improve.

Not to get too personal on main, but I ran a similar calculus to Maxine when I was on HRT for a little while and concluded that the only winning move was not to play. Attempting to play got me shunned and fired from two jobs. I won't be playing again until circumstances improve.

We already can't pass food delivery surcharges because of lobbying from Uber/Lyft/Grubhub et al. I don't want to add Alphabet, Inc to the list of lobbyists keeping Chicago car dependent.

If Waymo were automating buses, I'd be all for it. But the last thing Chicago needs is more cars on the road and more moneyed interests on the side of car access to Chicago that'll make taking the streets back from cars harder.

I disagree with the assertion that they won't take ridership from the CTA: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

They absolutely will reduce Divvy membership and usage, and the appetite for bike lanes.
Robotaxis Are No Friend of Public Transportation
AV companies like Waymo are promoting the idea that driverless technology can complement transit service. Recent ride-hailing history suggests otherwise.

I want to say it's the autism, because that's how it is for me. I have to set calendar events to remind myself to eat meals.
