ENG/ESP | "Anne of Green Gables meets Beat Poet" | Former HispLing grad. Historical dialectology, language maintenance, GIS. I also work with historical societies in Massachusetts.
In rural Massachusetts, there's the Route 2 Standout in Gill, overpass standouts over I-91 (changes location daily/weekly, but always in Franklin County and organized by the same group). The Historical Society of Greenfield shared the photo below of their city's No Kings II Rally.

These AI colorized "remasters" of pre-war B-roll would really have us believe the entire world was a rust brown, eh?

Came across this report by a small Massachusetts town's Board of Health in 1920. Sound familiar?

I compared that year's reports by the board of health and truancy officer and to say the town was the healthiest on record is an exaggeration. Reports from 1917 to 1919 are missing.

We were in traffic for 16 hours and my body still hurts from the drive, but seeing the eclipse in totality was priceless. We drove up to the source of the Connecticut River. Since most of our route had no wi-fi, we checked out a ten CDs from the library and listened to them along the way.

Went to the Berkshire Museum today & they had a Baghdad Battery display! Label says it can produce "low voltages" & "there are no surviving primary sources to confirm the function of these artifacts"???

You included an unproven crackpot hypothesis but not what modern anthropologists actually think?
