Oof that doesn't sound great, especially with our asthma. For now we'll keep with our plan for Virginia... I do love it here for many reasons, but obviously there are plenty of negatives as well 🙃

The ONLY way I'd keep horses is if they weren't mine and the owners paid me a boat load to board them. I'll stick to a few goats, chickens, and occasional hogs.

Can't say what the previous owners carried, but we've mainly used it for transferring hogs to and from the slaughter house. Occasional goat pen, chicken pen, etc. No horses yet though 😅

Oh I definitely play them the stuff I like! Might fuck em up for life but hey maybe I'll make 5 more fans of weird 80s southern rock bands not quite in the realm of Black Crowes but still awesome. 9yo loves it at least.

We roast on high heat, 425ish. Salt, pepper, oil. Little bit of brown sugar and/or orange juice if you need it for extra sweetness but farmers market should hopefully be sweet enough already.
