The CR doesn't give any special definition to "being attacked," so it just has its English meaning, roughly "currently has one or more creatures attacking them." It doesn't matter whether they were declared as attackers or not. #WotCstaff

I would say you can use a substitute card if not using one leaves your deck marked. Reversible cards fall in the spirit of that rule. I think people are mostly concerned about Limited for substitute cards. Sleeves take care of most situations where Secret Lair cards are involved. #WotCstaff

Not yet. Have some work to finish up and an early wake-up call.

I fell into some Gordon Lightfoot on Spotify one night which led to a funny exchange that if you didn’t see on Facebook I’ll… uh… have to tell you about in person.

Also explains the downturn in folk rock ballads.

Okay, one obvious false start a piece.

It does not. To put cards into a library, they first have to not be in that library. Looking at cards from the top and putting them on the bottom is just like shuffling in this regard. They never leave the library. #WotCstaff

My guess is this is derivable from existing rules and rulings, but I'll read the CR update a few days before you will. 😀 #WotCstaff

I just saw this card 3 days ago. :) No, choosing the same card again doesn't reset abilities, even if you choose a different exiled card in between. All the same instances, so you can't reset exhaust abilities, for example. #WotCstaff

It does. You can’t switch between two exiled cards to reset exhaust abilities, for example. #WotCstaff
November 7, 2025 at 6:18 PM
It does not. Going back to the same creature gives it the same abilities it had before. If that includes an exhaust ability that was already activated, it remains one that’s been activated. #WotCstaff

If you choose the same card as the last chosen card, Koh will have the same instance of the ability he already had. His abilities won't "reset." #WotCstaff
November 7, 2025 at 5:33 PM
If you choose the same exiled card, Koh will have the same instance of the ability, so if it's something that can be activated only once, for example, it won't reset. #WotCstaff

It'll become a 0/0 creature but won't get any +1/+1 counters. Also, hopefully endure 0 not creating any tokens wasn't that surprising. 😃 #WotCstaff
