Misplaced Yorkshireperson.

Not in the market for creepy DMs, thanks all the same.
Either the neighbours are watching #StrangerThings with the sound turned up, or the Upside Down’s on the other side of my living room wall.

Last night the Brownies dreamed up mythical creatures that shared their own individual characteristics.

I loved their pictures, but I loved even more the awesome things they recognised in themselves.

Shoutout to Mike’s Carpets and Shackleton’s High Seat Chairs
It still kind of freaks my nut out that it used to be you would have actual local adverts on TV, for just like random businesses, whereas now you basically *have* to be Coca Cola or it’s not happening.
Just interesting to think how insanely different the pre Internet advertising world was

You want to reach your customers? Uhh I guess you put an ad in the paper or put up a billboard. Maybe a radio ad. Television if you're Coca Cola

16yo was just trying to say something in a Yorkshire way, so I told her how to do it properly and she said, “oh I forgot you all talk medieval”.

For anyone waiting for the solution, we decided he’d have to fish them out the river with some bacon on a string.
In the pub googling where you can get live crabs in a small town in SE England for my friend to feed to his hypothetical pet octopus.

How’s your evening?

I’ve needle felted a bee. She’s a bit wonky, I’m not a crafty person, but there’s something therapeutic about repeatedly poking at the wool with a sharp needle.

So at one end of the scale we have a classic Christmas romcom from Waitrose.

And at the other, we have Tesco reminding us that Christmas can be a bit shit.

Little shoutout to @rapecrisis.bsky.social for a really useful page on #cyberflashing that I was able to share with someone who needed to see it.

Had to make tea with water from the coffee machine, and it’s gross. Surely being able to make a drinkable cup of tea at work is a basic human right?
